Get to know up-and-coming artist, Becky Hill.

Stalking Gia is one to watch…or stalk, if you will.

The rising NYC-based electro-pop sensation has been slowly-but-surely creeping through the blogosphere ever since the end of last year, when she debuted her glitchy, explosive “War Paint” as well as a lush synth-pop cover of Nick Jonas‘ Top 10 hit, “Jealous” released in early February.

And now, the songstress has debuted her follow-up single to her 2014 release: “Born Free” — and it’s got a major message behind the powerful and anthemic pop track. “No one knows my heart and name/Walk through fire and the rain,” she declares. “We are born free.”

“‘Born Free’ is an extremely personal and honest song for me, as well as for the world around me. Discrimination towards others is a constant battle we all unfortunately have to face every single day. I wanted to write an anthem that promotes peace rather than violence towards others,” Gia explains.
