Travel Diary: St Barths

I recently had the pleasure of taking some time off these past few weeks… so obviously I took it upon myself to find a chic yet effortless destination; St. Barthelémey; a beautiful petite French-dominated island in the Caribbean. It was an ideal sitch for me, the dress standards are high and it’s not uncommon to see the majority of visitors toting infamous designers. I love going to fashionable settings, and was totally in my element I could not help but bring some of my favorite pieces:

Pictured here:

Top: Missoni

Shorts: White denim cut offs from Nasty Gal

Shoes: Chloé

For our first night out, I decided to wear one of my favorite summer tops I have in my closet from Missoni paired with a white denim and my favorite white wedge lace ups. This outfit was effortless and perfect for the summer weather; plus the top has this beautiful print underneath the fringe that peeks out perfectly.

Jumpsuit: A.L.C.

Bag: Chloé

Necklace: Lana Jewelry

On our second night, a trip to Bagatelle, which is a restaurant-turns-dance club was definitely calling for a jumpsuit. When last minute shopping, this A.L.C. number caught my eye, their all-in-ones are always beautifully made and create awesome silhouettes; I love how this particular piece is designed to show the perfect amount of skin– without having to worry about a wardrobe malfunction. I paired it with this beautiful baby blue lariat necklace from Lana Jewelry and blue wedges, not pictured.

Sunnies: Dior

Bodysuit: American Apparel

Skirt: For Love & Lemons

Shoes: Aldo

Bag: Chanel

My best friend Michael (put up with me for seven days although got to do it in paradise) and I made sure to grab lunch at Cheval Blanc, a beautiful white themed hotel with a gorgeous view and incredible food. In addition to my favorite Dior aviators, I wore this cute ensemble that was the perfect amount of casual. I love a good bodysuit and oftentimes wear this particular style to perform in; paired here with super comfy nude lace ups and a lace mini from the delicate lingerie brand For Love & Lemons

Sunnies: Dior

Bodysuit: American Apparel

Shorts: Dolce & Gabbana

This outfit will forever be remembered as will this day; we went to an amazing beach front sushi restaurant called Nikki Beach. Powered by amazing sushi, dancing, and beach this establishment has made its way indefinitely into my dreams. I decided to wear these fun banana leaf shorts by Dolce & Gabbana that give me some serious Beverly Hills hotel vibes and another bodysuit plus these amazing Dior sunnies that have black reflective lenses, not pictured were my black knee-high gladiator sandles; my smile is a serious testament as to how I felt about this outfit/day.

Lastly, here’s a few photos of swimwear I wore throughout the week; first suit I found online! It’s vintage Chanel and I fell in love with these baby blue Dior sunglasses that paired nicely with my Lana necklace. Secondly, I found this bomb Emilio Pucci bikini; it was so tropical and I loved the crotchet. In the third and last, I was wearing my favorite black two piece by one of my all-time fave swim designers, Zimmermann! This trip provided some serious fashion expression for me, and I could not have felt more relaxed and inspired afterwards.. I hope you all have had a chic and relaxing summer sixteen !!!

All my love always

Coachella 2016

April has become a month I look forward to for two reasons: Coachella & my sisters birthday (hey shiela ily)

If you aren’t familiar, let me fill you in on my perfect idea of reality (like seriously, can we just live in Coachella ???) I may be getting carried away, the festival blues are hittin me hard guys. Anyways, it’s a music & arts festival that takes place right outside of Palm Springs. Going to high school out in LA, the short drive and its general popularity made it become a tradition for me and my friends to go. The festival is honestly notorious for incredibly stylish/savvy attendees, which obviously only draws me to it more. In my mind it’s a fashion show just as much as it is a music & arts festival, and I love people watching to see the different ways everyone chooses to express themselves through their clothes. getting deep. But lets get on with it; now that you have a little more info on what it is, I’ll dive into my Coachella 2016.

Day 1

Day One this year was a bit of a rush, we ended up flying out that morning rather than the night before. But it’s whatever, we still had time to get ready and see who everyone wanted (just accepted the fact my very-much-so-planned photo with yummy Coachella food in perfect mid afternoon weather would be day 2 or 3– we good.) Music wise, Jack U, A$AP Rocky, & Purity Ring were a few of my personal favorites.

image

The weather, a beautiful 85 degrees, was definitely a bit cooler than past Coachella’s typically being in the triple digits so I brought a backpack to keep a cute little lavender cashmere hoodie for the night. I wanted to do some sort of color in my hair & lately I’ve been vibing with purple; it really suits me/my personality. I’m a huge lover of fine jewelry, the more delicate chains & such, so I layered em up like many do with their accessories (oftentimes beaded and more bohemian than my more classic twist) to give my own take on the popular festival trend. Lastly, my outfit…

The Romper/Jumpsuit:

My girl Madelyn and I, both love Missoni, a beautifully crafted Italian brand that features a lot of patterns like in the pieces we’re wearing. Each year, I’ve flocked to their patterns for my festival attire because of their beautiful detail and unique color combos. (Doesn’t hurt that they have rompers + jumpsuits, my weakness.)  I wore these amaaaaazing Alexander Wang booties that beautifully complimented my Chanel tan backpack I accessorized with. We both chose to wear the adorable & EXTREMELY popular this year circle Ray Bans in Blue and & Lavender to bring out the color even further in our outfits (and my hair).

Here’s a little peep of that stunning Chanel I was referring to. Ugh. It’s my child. (And yes– it survived without a scratch ;))

Also– Check out some of my friends looks throughout this post from each day; they killed it (obviously hehe)

image

This is Ben, he has incredibly good taste. We (my hair girl Jana Hilton) died his hair this beautiful violet/grey right before Chella that went so well with his Day 1 color scheme. And to top it off those amazing “So Real” Dior sunnies have become a serious essential to everyone who knows anything about fashion.

Day 2

Day 2 is notorious for being the craziest of them all, and this year it didn’t disappoint! Saturday we saw some great acts; James Bay, Disclosure, Halsey, Zedd, Guns N’ Roses, & Rl Grime.. (unapolegtic use of basic puppy snapchat filter)

Outfit Details:

So I searched for this Chanel choker, and I was so excited to pair it with my Day Two outfit.

image

The Outfit:

I paired my choker with these cool Zimmermann pants and matching print bikini top. Plus these Givenchy sunnies that I found last minute; they have this studded detail ontop that sets them aside from any pair I’ve ever owned. And the backpack made an appearance once agan, how could it not??

Madelyn found this amazing two piece off of Revolve.com - I got a decent amount of my Chella wardrobe from them as well! Their stock is filled with a great mix of trendy and high fashion that enables them to appeal to a much bigger audience; plus their sales are killer.

Once again– Here’s one more of my people’s amazing outfits ! She’s so savvy; I’m always asking her where she buys her outfits & bags.

image

Rachel, a current student @ USC has been one of my closest friends since we went to high school together in LA.. & I just loved her Day 2 outfit. She was a total babe in this lilac fringe top & the turquoise jewelry was such a nice addition. This outfit is in my opinion one of the most ideal for a festival; it’s simple but she’s still making a statement & it’s obvious she has really good taste.

Day 3

Day 3 is always a nostalgic day for me… You know the festival is coming to an end & if you’re anything like me you’re asking yourself “Why can’t we just live in Coachella? You know? Why can’t THIS be our lifestyle?!” And your friends are staring back at you shaking their head laughing at how caught up you are in the weekend and the festival. Music wise, Day 3 this year was probably my favorite. From The 1975, to Major Lazer, Sia, Flume, & Calvin Harris.. it was a great last day and despite missing a few acts I was dying to see– (Ellie, Ice Cube..) Coachella 2016 was nothing short of a whirlwind consisting of amazing people, music & of course, oufits.

image

The Outfit:

My Day 3 outfit was super colorful, definitely a change from my typical all-black aesthetic. I adore this Mara Hoffman two piece, I paired it with my Chanel turquoise crossbody and my purple Adidas superstar tennies and my lavender circle glasses to tie in all the colors & this cute white crochet cardigan i found at Nordstrom...  Also– this popsicle seriously appeared in almost all of my Day 3 photos.

Lastly..

Here’s a few pictures I wanted to include in this post.. Coachella is such a wonderful getaway from reality that I look forward to so so much every year; I’m so happy to share it with you all this time. Onto the next festival, xx Abi
